TANZANIA The National Parks and reserves of northern Tanzania need little introduction to wildlife enthusiasts.
The vast Serengeti National Park, is arguably the finest reserve on the continent, home to millions of
plains animals and a profusion of predators. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world,
whilst Tarangire National Park is well known for it’s dense elephant population and magnificent baobab trees.
Add to this, Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth highest mountain, at 4566 m, which dominates the horizon when visiting
the bustling town of Arusha, the gateway to the reserves of northern Tanzania.
Africa's spectacular Rift Valley, with the wide open plains of East Africa stretched before us. Then there are lakes winged pink with the presence of
hundreds of flamingoes.
Tanzania has Mt
Kilimanjaro - Africa’s highest mountain.
This safari can be used as a stand
alone safari or as an add on to any other East African
safari.

MIGRATION The biggest
annual event in Tanzania is the
migration, where huge herds of
wildebeest head from Tanzania’s
Serengeti National park into
Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of
greener pastures.
Leaving Tanzania in late
July/August each year, more than
2 million of these animals
migrate across the Mara River
accompanied by zebras,
antelopes, gazelles and lions.
In October/November the animals
return to the short grass
plains.
WILDERNESS CAMP
This new camp is situated on the banks of the Ngare
Nanyuki River and perfectly located for game viewing in
the Seronera area, as well as the less visited regions
further east. It is also close to the airstrip for
flights in and out.
Being the furthest camp to the east, there is the
benefit of relative isolation allowing a true wilderness
experience. With only 10 ensuite tents with twin beds,
solar lighting and bucket showers, a large dining tent
with bar, as well as a comfortable lounge area with
small reference library, this friendly and intimate camp
offers a unique experience.
Your guide will join you for meals and will be available
to you at all hours. Located in the heart of the
Serengeti, surrounded by wildlife, this ‘seasonal’ camp
will be moved from time to time to be in prime locations
depending on the movement of game and local weather
conditions.
