Two towering granite rocks reach towards the sky to provide
the dramatic setting for this comfortable 4* camp which sits
on a typical African kopjie.
Located in the heart of the Kwa Madwala Game Reserve,
Manyatta Rock Camp is the perfect setting to relax, unwind
and enjoy the wilderness and the wildlife. The property is
situated just an hour’s drive from Mpumalanga Airport.
Watch the sun rise over the Lembobo Mountains to the east
and in the evenings marvel at the orange glow as the sun
sets again in the west. Take in the bush views in every
direction and listen to the stillness of this piece of
African wilderness. Chill out in the cosy viewing lounge
deck which is raised on stilts and juts out to provide a
stunning spot for leisurely game viewing from this vantage
point.
The boomerang shaped swimming pool with its sundeck and tree
dappled shade is a delight and partially hewn from the
surrounding rock to provide a great place for a cooling dip.
There is an open air boma next to the towering rocks for
dining under the stars and one can enjoy a refreshing drink
from the grotto style bar which is nestled between the two
towering rocks.
Or choose to relax on one of the two wooden dining decks
which all afford magnificent vista's across the wilderness.
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK The largest National Park in South Africa. Established in 1889, is more than
2 million hectares, and larger than Wales. More than 146 mammal species,
507 bird species and 400 different tree types call this spectacular
"Bushveld" home. It is only five hours drive or an hour’s flight from
Johannesburg. Direct flights are also available from Cape Town, Durban and
Port Elizabeth.
DAY 1 - KWA MADWALA
A representative from Kwa Madwala will meet you on
arrival into Mpumalanga Airport and transfer you to the
4000 ha, Private Game Reserve. Accommodation is at
Manyatta Rock Camp. This afternoon take a game drive in
an open 4X4 safari vehicle before dinner. (BD)
DAY 2 – KRUGER NATIONAL
PARK
Today take a full day game drive into the Kruger
National Park in a closed 10-seater airconditioned
vehicle. The Kruger National Park is a 15-minute drive
from the lodge. (Park entrance fees are additional and
must be paid locally). Breakfast and lunch will be taken
at one of the Rest Camps within the Park, or as a packed
meal. Return to the lodge for dinner (BLD)
DAY 3 - KWA MADWALA
This morning enjoy a bush breakfast, followed by a
morning game drive in the reserve. After lunch take a
30-minute Microlight safari over the bush. Rest of the
afternoon is at leisure with dinner at the lodge (BLD)
DAY 4 – KWA MADWALA
This morning enjoy an Elephant Back Safari. After lunch
take an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner will
be served in the Boma (BLD)
DAY 5 – KWA MADWALA
After a morning game drive on the reserve, transfer to
Mpumalanga Airport. (B)
