The Musandam Peninsula, rugged and beautiful, is found
at the very furthest point on the remote north coast tip of
Oman, bordered by Dubai, so easily accessible by air or
road from there or a short flight from Muscat.
The landscape is dominated by mountains rising straight
from the water creating a coastline that is unique in this
region. The area offers many historical and archaeological
sights as well as the clear waters of the Musandam fjords.
There are more true reefs here than anywhere else in
Oman to cater those marine life enthusiasts
Day 1 Muscat to
Musandam
The tour starts with a short flight from Muscat to
Khasab, a
small fishing port. On arrival you will be met and
transferred
to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a half day mountain
safari of Jebel Harim, the highest peak of the Musandam
Peninsula at 2087 metres, travelling in a 4X4 vehicle.
Overnight: Golden Tulip Hotel (L).
Day 2 Musandam
After breakfast take a full day dhow cruise to the
spectacular fjords, exploring small fishing villages,
and the
famous Telegraph Island. This is the place to be to
watch
birds, dolphins, dive or snorkel. Lunch is served on
board.

Day 3 Musandam to Muscat or Dubai
After breakfast depart on a city tour with a visit to
Khasab
Fort built by Portuguese in the 16th century and on to
Wadi Tawi to see the prehistoric rock paintings.
Transfer to
Khasab Airport for departing flight or alternatively
travel by
road to Dubai (B).
