Zambezi Queen

This elegant and luxurious houseboat cruises the waters of the Chobe River between Botswana and Namibia, offering an incredible African experience with days spent exploring the waterways of the eastern Caprivi. Being on the river allows close up encounters of a large variety of wildlife including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and the shy Chobe bushbuck. Large troops of baboons are also on hand to provide plenty of entertainment with their riverside antics and within the river itself, are numerous hippos and crocodiles to add to the unending display. All 14 suites have private balconies and are elegantly furnished to the highest level.

Day 1: Kasane - Chobe River

Mid afternoon transfer on arrival from Kasane to the Chobe River for a game viewing cruise en route to the Zambezi Queen before check-in and dinner onboard. (D)

Day 2: Chobe River

Enjoy some of the scheduled activities on offer that include game viewing by boat or 4x4 vehicle, fishing and a cultural village tour by mokoro. Dinner is taken on shore in a traditionally styled Boma with music. (BLD)

Day 3: Chobe River - Kasane

This morning after breakfast tour ends. (B)

Rovos Rail - Pretoria to Victoria Falls (vv)

This special 3-day adventure begins at Rovos Rail’s gracious station in Pretoria, departing in the morning and slowly meandering westwards through Mafikeng into Botswana. Travelling across the border into Zimbabwe, the train continues in a north-westerly direction passing Bulawayo and heading towards Hwange Game Reserve. Your journey’s end is the incomparable Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River.
