Parc National Des Volcans is home to over half of the regions surviving 650 mountain gorillas and was immortalised in the film "Gorillas in the Mist", the biographical account of primatologist Dian Fossey which was set and shot in the park. The chain of 4,570 metre volcanoes stretching through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, affords wonderful views of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside and is the place to experience the most intimate and poignant of wildlife encounters.
Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda - Luxury
Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is situated in the foothills of the mighty Virungas. The chain of 4,570 metre volcanoes stretching through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, affords wonderful views of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside. And it is here, on a flat ridge high in the forest, that Sanctuary's Gorilla Forest Camp is tucked away. It's hard to fathom that such luxury and sophistication could be available in an area as remote as this, and we did face enormous logistical obstacles - but it was worth the wait.

Being on the river allows close up encounters of a large variety of wildlife including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and the shy Chobe bushbuck. Selinda Canoe Trails
There are few places on earth where humans have not walked. Yet deep in the Selinda Reserve, a private concession in north-eastern Botswana, there are such places. Here are vast areas of woodland, places never exposed to human pressures, a place where wildlife can breathe freely. The area is well known for elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, wild dog and it is possible to encounter cheetah, lion, leopard and a variety of other species and is a birding paradise.
Okavango Delta - Camp Okavango
Camp Okavango sits in the heart of the Okavango Delta on Nxaragha Island. Its main lodge features a bar, sitting area and library, with the dining room leading onto an expansive open-air patio where evenings around the fire can be enjoyed. Accommodating just 24 guests, the tented rooms are raised on teak platforms with ensuite facilities and private viewing decks. All game viewing activities are conducted by experienced guides and include exploring the area by mokoro or motorboat and tracking the larger game species on guided walks on the many surrounding islands.

Lebala Camp is situated in the south of the Kwando Concession, adjacent to the head waters of the Linyanti marshes that form the boundary between Botswana and Namibia. The southerly flowing Kwando River disappears into the vast marshland before emerging as the Linyanti River. The triangle formed by this vast wetland is home to the Mamili National Park in Namibia.
Kwando Concession - Lagoon Camp
Lagoon Camp is perched on the banks of the wild Kwando River, overlooking the Mudumu National Park in the Namibian Caprivi Strip. The camp is nestled beneath towering ebony and marula trees and accommodates up to 16 guests in eight traditionally styled 'tents’. The heavily forested site is home to a wide variety of birds and mammals, while elephant and hippo are normally visible from the camp. The stunning views and close proximity of wildlife all contribute to the pervading sense of calm at Lagoon.
