Rovos Rail - Cape Town to Dar es Salaam (vv)

This 14-day journey is one of the most famous train trips in the world taking you through South Africa with stops in Kimberley, Pretoria and the Kruger National Park, and on to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. After crossing the Zambezi River you will travel north eastwards through Zambia and continue the climb towards the Zambian/Tanzanian border, almost the midpoint between Africa’s two Great Rift Valley lakes. On the last day the train passes through Selous Game Reserve (Tanzania), the largest in Africa before arriving in the bustle of Dar es Salaam.

Rovos Rail - Pretoria to Victoria Falls (vv)

This special 3-day adventure begins at Rovos Rail’s gracious station in Pretoria, departing in the morning and slowly meandering westwards through Mafikeng into Botswana. Travelling across the border into Zimbabwe, the train continues in a north-westerly direction passing Bulawayo and heading towards Hwange Game Reserve. Your journey’s end is the incomparable Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River.

Rovos Rail - Pretoria to Cape Town (vv)

Trundle through the spectacular mountain ranges and scenic wine lands of the Cape. Journey's end is Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa, cradled by the imposing bulk of Table Mountain, Devil's Peak and Lions Head. Highlights of the north and southbound routes include a visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein. This authentic perfectly preserved Victorian Village, which was founded by Mr Logan as a refreshment stop in 1890, also boasts an impressive museum on the platform. A stop is also made in Kimberley providing an opportunity to enjoy a city tour and a visit to the Diamond Mine Museum and the world's largest man-made excavation, the Big Hole.

Mantobeni Camp - Honeyguide Tented Safari

Honeyguide has two tented camps - Khoka Moya and Mantobeni, both located in the Manyeleti Game Reserve. Manyeleti, meaning “Place of the Stars”, borders the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand and the Timbavati Game Reserves, and is a true Big Five experience. Safaris in open 4X4 game drive vehicles, led by experienced and qualified guides and trackers are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon. Lebala Camp is situated in the south of the Kwando Concession, adjacent to the head waters of the Linyanti marshes that form the boundary between Botswana and Namibia. The southerly flowing Kwando River disappears into the vast marshland before emerging as the Linyanti River. The triangle formed by this vast wetland is home to the Mamili National Park in Namibia.

Okavango Delta - Sanctuary Stanleys Camp

Sanctuary Stanley's Camp is a classic tented camp with just eight tents built around an imposing sausage tree on a private concession overlooking the Okavango floodplains. The area around the camp changes with the seasons - from lush green when the rain flows down from the Angolan highlands to dry savannah when the Kalahari Desert tightens its grip.

Okavango Delta - Sanctuary Chiefs Camp

Sanctuary Chief's Camp is located on Chief's Island, one of the many islands created by the seasonal floodwaters of the Okavango. The island was named after Chief Moremi, the hereditary king of the area who used the lands as his royal hunting grounds. The vast number of animals who congregate here make it easy to understand why the area was put aside for the chief. It was Moremi's people, the Tawana, who turned it into a reserve where animals are protected.
