Days 1 & 2: Livingstone / Victoria Falls

The tour starts in Livingstone with two days at leisure to visit the famous Victoria Falls, browse local markets and experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa. Overnight at Protea Hotel Livingstone. (B)

Days 3 & 4: Livingstone / Victoria Falls - Chobe River

Crossing into Botswana via the Chobe National Park, accommodation is located on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and an abundance of wildlife and birdlife. Relax on a sunset cruise. Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge. (B)

Days 5 & 6: Chobe River - Okavango River

Cross into Namibia and enter the Caprivi Strip where the accommodation is set amongst lush vegetation overlooking the Okavango River. The following day is free for optional excursions such as bird walks, game drives and mokoro rides. Overnight at Nunda River Lodge. (B)

Day 7: Okavango River – Etosha National Park

This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa with thousands of animals such as cheetah, leopard, lion, elephant, wildebeest, springbok, zebra, kudu and giraffe, making this area their home. Overnight at Namutoni Rest Camp. (B)

Day 8: Etosha National Park

Today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives travelling through the Park. This evening enjoy the game viewing at the floodlight waterhole. Overnight at Halali Rest Camp. (B)

Day 9: Etosha National Park - Damaraland

After a final game drive you leave the Park. This afternoon visit the Himba people, a semi- nomadic tribe, living in scattered settlements throughout the region and spend time learning about these fascinating people. Overnight at Ugab Terrace Lodge. (B)

Days 10 & 11: Damaraland - Swakopmund

Today drive inland through the Damaraland region with its vast and rugged terrain. Its mountain ranges are intercepted by wide gravel plains, which run into sandy, vegetated riverbeds and hot, dry valleys. On arrival in Swakopmund spend the afternoon and following day at leisure exploring this German colonial town or booking one of the optional excursions on offer. Activities available include sand-boarding, quad biking, skydiving, kayaking, hot air ballooning or scenic flights over the desert. Overnight at Swakopmund Boutique Hotel. (B)

Days 12 & 13: Swakopmund - Sesriem

The drive continues south through ever changing scenery to the edge of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei to witness the changing colours of the world’s highest sand dunes, and walk in the Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. This afternoon enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. Overnight at Desert Camp. (B)

Days 14 & 15: Sesriem - Fish River Canyon

Continue south on the journey to arrive at the lodge situated in a beautiful scenic area. The following morning is free to relax followed by an afternoon visit to the Fish River Canyon, one of the largest and most awe inspiring canyons in the world. Overnight at Vogelstrausskluft Country Lodge. (B)

Days 16 & 17: Fish River Canyon - Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Today head south into the Kalahari and the magnificent Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, one of the largest reserves in Africa. Due to the sparse vegetation excellent predator sightings are common including that of the famous black mane Lion. Enjoy a game drive on arrival and departure to the lodge. Here the true wonders of the Kalahari can be discovered on optional activities including night game drives, sunset drives, nature walks & interaction with the ancient Bushman. The evenings can be spent star-gazing through the telescope on the lodge viewing deck. Overnight at !Xaus Lodge. (B)

Day 18: Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park - Augrabies Falls National Park

Today drive through a lush oasis area with an abundance of wine farms. The Augrabies Falls National Park is where the mighty Orange River plummets 56m into the gorge below. Spend the afternoon enjoying the falls from its many viewpoints. Overnight at Vergelegen Guest House. (B)

Day 19: Augrabies Falls National Park - Calvinia (Hantam Region)

You arrive into the historic town of Calvinia, nestled on the foot of the Hantam Mountain range. During the wildflower months of August – October the landscape is transformed into an explosion of colour. Overnight at Hantam Huis. (B)

Day 20: Calvinia (Hantam Region) – Cape Town

Travelling through the Namaqualand region arrive into Cape Town. Set against the majestic Table Mountain, Cape Town offers scenic, historic and cultural attractions. Overnight at Breakwater Lodge. (B)

Day 21: Cape Town

This morning enjoy a full day peninsula tour, driving along the Atlantic seaboard via Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak, and a visit to Table Mountain National Park – Cape Point. A morning or afternoon cable car ascent up Table Mountain is included (weather dependent) and the tour ends late afternoon. (B)
