Day 1: Cairo

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Mena House Oberoi Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

Today enjoy a privately guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the ancient capital Memphis and burial ground of Sakkara, located 24kms south-west of Cairo. After lunch at a traditional restaurant visit the Pyramids of Giza, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the mysterious Sphinx, carved from a single block of stone. Day 3: Cairo to Aswan

Transfer to the airport for flight to Aswan, and on arrival transfer to the Oberoi Zahra cruise boat for your 7-night cruise to Luxor. From here you will visit the Aswan High Dam and take a short motor boat ride to the Philae Temple on the island of Agilika. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 4: Aswan to Abu Simbel

Early this morning take the short flight to Abu Simbel to view the wonders of this amazing temple built by Ramses II and relocated piece by piece in the 1960’s for preservation from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Rest of the day is at leisure before enjoying a Sound & Light show after sunset at the Philae Temple. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 5: Kom Ombo

This morning sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin temples - one side dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World, and visit the Botanical Gardens by felucca. This evening enjoy a cocktail reception with entertainment on Mango Island. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 6: Edfu

Today sail to Edfu and visit the Temple, the best Greek-built preserved temple of the ancient world, dedicated to Horus the Falcon God. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 7: Luxor

Sail to Luxor and this afternoon visit the Karnak Temple and Luxor Museum. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 8: Valley of the Kings

This morning transfer to the West Bank, to explore the Necropolis of ancient Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs including King Tutankhamun's tomb. This is followed by a visit to the Temple of Madinat Habu and a stop at the Colossus of Memnon. Sail to Qina for a private visit to the Temple of Dendara, dedicated to Hathor, the Goddess of Music, Love and Joy. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 9: Luxor

Sail back to Luxor and visit the Valley of the Noble’s tombs and Dier El Madina, the site of a village where special craftsmen built and decorated the tombs of the Pharaohs. This afternoon visit Luxor Temple, followed by a farewell reception. Overnight on board Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. (BLD)

Day 10: Luxor to Cairo

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Luxor Airport for flight to Cairo, where on arrival you will be met and transferred to the Four Seasons First Residence for overnight. (B)

Day 11: Old Cairo

This morning you have a privately escorted sightseeing trip of Old Cairo which includes the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Mohamed Ali, followed by some shopping time at the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight: Four Seasons First Residence. (BL)

Day 12: Cairo

Transfer to the airport for departing flight and end of arrangements (B)
