Take the morning shuttle bus via the Namanga border crossing to Arusha for lunch. Meet your driver/guide for a briefing and drive in 4X4 safari vehicle to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Accommodation at the Ngorongoro Farm House comprises spacious cottages built in the style of an old colonial farm offering an imaginary journey back to days gone by. Early this morning the safari begins by driving down the steep valley (about 600m) to the floor of the crater. The crater is known for its unusual sights including the rare black rhinos. The chain of 4,570 metre volcanoes stretching through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, affords wonderful views of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside and is the place to experience the most intimate and poignant of wildlife encounters.
