Serengeti By Air – Migration Camp

The Serengeti National Park, the largest in Tanzania and most famous in this region, is well renowned for the annual migration of the wildebeest, large numbers of lion and cheetah, together with herds of giraffe and zebra on the trek between here and the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya.

The word “Safari” means “journey” in Kiswahili but since the days of the legendary “White Hunters” a “Safari” has evolved to mean a spectacular bush adventure that takes in sightings of a glorious selection of game, flora, fauna and bird life whilst delivering awe inspiring scenery, show-stopping views and wildlife encounters of the most exciting kind.

Migration Camp is situated in Northern Serengeti, built within the rocks of a kopje in the picturesque Ndassiatta Hills overlooking the Grumeti River and migratory route of the wildebeest. Richly furnished throughout, the 20 luxurious ensuite tents are all on raised platforms, with sweeping views of the river from the private balconies. The central dining area, bar and library are all positioned atop a series of cantilevered decks, maximising the views of the game plains below.

Day 1: Arusha - Serengeti National Park

Depart Arusha by scheduled flight to Grumeti airstrip, where upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner & overnight at Migration Camp. (D)

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

Full day of game activities in the Park with all meals and overnight at Migration Camp. (BLD)

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Arusha

After breakfast and morning game drive fly back to Arusha. (BL)
