The word “Safari” means “journey” in Kiswahili but since the days of the legendary “White Hunters” a “Safari” has evolved to mean a spectacular bush adventure that takes in sightings of a glorious selection of game, flora, fauna and bird life whilst delivering awe inspiring scenery, show-stopping views and wildlife encounters of the most exciting kind.
Providing guests with a tranquil safari experience, Mbalageti Lodge is located in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the plains and Mbalageti River. On each side of the hill are 12 luxury tented chalets, all with ensuite, luxury amenities and private deck. The main lodge area features a swimming pool, massage boma, loft lounge, restaurant and bar, together with gift shop offering a range of locally made craft and artworks.
Depart Arusha by scheduled flight to Grumeti airstrip, where upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner & overnight at Mbalageti Lodge – Tented Chalet. (D)

The chain of 4,570 metre volcanoes stretching through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, affords wonderful views of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside and is the place to experience the most intimate and poignant of wildlife encounters.
