Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn

Collect hire car and depart Cape Town travelling to Swellendam, the third oldest settlement in South Africa, at the foot of the beautiful Langeberg Mountains. The town was founded by the Dutch East India Company in 1745 and is situated between Cape Town and George. Continue to Oudtshoorn. Overnight at Mooiplaas Guest House.

Day 2: Oudtshoorn - Knysna

Continue to Knysna – the Jewel of the Garden Route – where you will spend the next three nights taking in many of the optional activities and sights available in this area. Nestled between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with the world- renowned forests encircling it like a protective mantle, the Knysna estuary is protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone “Heads”. Overnight at Bradach Manor. (B)

Days 3 & 4: Knysna & surrounds

Suggested activities in the region include a visit to the Elephants at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, Keurbooms River Nature Reserve, Plettenberg Bay, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden Sanctuary as well as the many activities on the lagoon in Knysna itself. Overnight at Bradach Manor. (B)

Day 5: Knysna / Plettenberg – Port Elizabeth

Today drive to Port Elizabeth Airport and drop off hire car. (B)
