The emphasis at Savanna is, first and foremost, on the safari experience and the activities of the wildlife. Savanna lies in an area where sightings are so frequent that it is not unusual to see lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino in a single game drive. With nine magnificent suites, seven of which have tented and draped ceilings, the elegance of a bygone colonial era blends with all the convenience of modern facilities.

The main lodge area has a spacious patio and pool overlooking gardens and a floodlit waterhole, where guests may be treated to fantastic close-up sightings of a variety of animals. Game drives are conducted by highly trained game rangers and trackers in specially designed game viewing safari vehicles. Children from eight years of age are welcome.

Day 1: Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

On arrival at Mpumalanga (KMIA) Airport you will be met and transferred by road to Savanna. Dinner and overnight Savanna. (LD)

Day 2: Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Full day of game activities as outlined below in the game reserve with all meals. There is nothing as invigorating as watching Africa’s wildlife in their natural habitat. The place where nature dictates the rules and humans are mere observers. Enjoy an unforgettable African lion safari in the wide expanse of the greater Kruger National Park ecosystem. Driving or being guided on foot by experienced rangers will bring you as close as you will ever get to true nature, the African way. With daily guided tours from early morning to late night drives enjoy an African safari beyond your wildest expectations. And enjoy some R&R by cooling off next to the sparkling pool, drinking cocktails and refreshments from the fully stocked bar, or relax in the shade of the Marula trees on the wooden deck overlooking the waterhole and watch the animals wander past.
