Day 1: Marrakech - Merzouga

This afternoon you will meet your driver/guide and depart Marrakech in a 4WD vehicle heading south towards Merzouga. You may encounter nomadic tribes with their camels along the way. Stop for a refreshments with a glass of mint tea before carrying on along the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a short camel ride across the dunes for a spectacular sunset and on to the private tented camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by local entertainment around the camp fire and overnight in tented camp. (D)

Day 2: Merzouga - Ouarzazate

Wake early to experience the wonderful sunrise over the Saharan dunes before breakfast. Take a short drive to the medieval town of Rissani, an important former post of trans- Saharan trading caravans. Visit the birthplace of the current royal dynasty of Morocco and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty. Finally make a stop at the Souks before driving to Ouarzazate for overnight at Le Berbere Palace. (BLD)

Day 3: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast return to Marrakech by road and end of tour. (B)
