On the middle reaches of the Zambezi River, a hundred kilometres below Lake Kariba is the Mana Pools National Park situated in the heart of the Zambezi Valley. Ruckomechi Camp lies on the banks of the Zambezi, shaded by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees and with a superb view of the mountains of Africa's Great Rift Valley across the river in Zambia.

Situated on the western boundary of Mana Pools National Park, Ruckomechi Camp (a Wilderness Safaris property) accommodates guests in 10 spacious ensuite tented units, with indoor and outdoor showers, including a honeymoon suite, and is set amongst trees overlooking the Zambezi River. 

The central dining, bar, library and lounge areas are connected by low-level walkways. Activities include game drives in open 4X4 vehicles, motorised boats, canoes and walking safaris, with a pool and hammocks on the deck for leisure time in between.

Day 1: Victoria Falls - Mana Pools National Park

On arrival at Victoria Falls you will be met and transferred by light aircraft to Ruckomechi Camp. Dinner and overnight Ruckomechi Camp. (D)

Day 2: Mana Pools National Park

Enjoy a day full of activities, including wildlife viewing in open 4x4 vehicles, on motorised pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes. The area is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are all found in the area. Birdlife is superb, particularly for both mopane woodland and riverine species with numerous local specials like Collared Palm-Thrush, Racket-tailed Roller, Purple-banded Sunbird and Black-throated Wattle-Eyes. Day 3: Mana Pools National Park - Victoria Falls

After breakfast you will be transferred by light aircraft to Victoria Falls. (B)

A rustic five star bush property, Ngoma is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve bordering the Chobe National Park, with panoramic views overlooking the Chobe River and Caprivi Floodplain.
