Rovos Rail - Pretoria to Victoria Falls (vv)

This special 3-day adventure begins at Rovos Rail’s gracious station in Pretoria, departing in the morning and slowly meandering westwards through Mafikeng into Botswana. Travelling across the border into Zimbabwe, the train continues in a north-westerly direction passing Bulawayo and heading towards Hwange Game Reserve. Your journey’s end is the incomparable Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River.

Experience a 1600-kilometre journey through varied and truly African scenery as Rovos Rail's luxurious train meanders westwards through Mafikeng into Botswana and then north towards Mahalapye, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn just after Gaborone.

Day 1: Pretoria - Mafikeng

This morning at 1000 hours your train departs from the Rovos Rail private station at Capital Park. Lunch is served at 1300 hours en route to Zeerust. At 1930 hours dinner is served as the train heads towards Mafikeng. (LD)

Day 2: Mafikeng - Greater Zimbabwe

This morning Breakfast is served from 0700 hours in the dining car/s. Lunch is served in the dining car/s at 1300 hours. At 1700 hours your train will across into Zimbabwe where border formalities have to be done at the Plumtree posting. 1930 hours Dinner is served in the dining cars. (BLD)

Day 3: Greater Zimbabwe – Victoria Falls

This morning Breakfast is served from 0700 hours in the dining car/s. Lunch is served in the dining car/s at 1300 hours. At 1700 hours you will arrive at Victoria Falls Station where your Rovos Rail journey ends. (BL)
