Its prime location on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve ensures that it is one of the only safari camps which can provide guests with an authentic, year round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.

Big game, big birds, big water – Xakanaxa Camp, one of the Okavango Delta's most authentic safari camps. The stylish main buildings extend over the river and are set on raised platforms to maximize the views over the surrounding lagoons and islands.

The camp offers 12 Meru-style classic luxury safari tents on raised decks with ensuite bathrooms. Constructed of local timber, reed and thatch they comprise of an elegant lounge containing a small but comprehensive library, dining room, expansive sundeck, plunge pool and sala with day bed as well as a fire-deck set under giant Jackalberry trees.

Day 1: Maun – Okavango Delta

Depart Maun by light aircraft to Xakanaxa airstrip for a 25-minute flight. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Xakanaxa Camp. (D)

Day 2: Okavango Delta

Full day of game activities in the Park with all meals and overnight at Xakanaxa Camp. Activities include game drives in open Land Rovers and water game viewing in mokoros in conjunction with powerboat exploration of the Okavango. The Moremi Reserve is rated as one of Africa’s finest game viewing areas, offering sanctuary to abundant herds of elephant, sable, giraffe, tsessebe, lechwe, wildebeest, impala and waterbuck. Lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena complete the picture. (BLD)

Day 3: Okavango Delta - Maun

Early morning game activities followed by a hearty breakfast before flying back to Maun. (BL)

Chobe National Park - Ngoma Safari Lodge


A rustic five star bush property, Ngoma is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve bordering the Chobe National Park, with panoramic views overlooking the Chobe River and Caprivi Floodplain. The eight spacious, river facing suites have external living areas, bath, inside and outside showers, overhead fans, air-conditioning, and an open lounge. As the lodge is in the Chobe Forest Reserve, activities include guided walks, day and night drives and a full day activity that includes cruising on the river and drives within the National Park.
