Sanctuary Stanley's Camp is a classic tented camp with just eight tents built around an imposing sausage tree on a private concession overlooking the Okavango floodplains. The area around the camp changes with the seasons - from lush green when the rain flows down from the Angolan highlands to dry savannah when the Kalahari Desert tightens its grip.

The Delta is the largest inland delta system in the world and is a maze of lagoons and islands covering some 15,000 square kilometres. It is world renowned for its biodiversity and contrasts – a must see on any African safari. It is also home to an abundance of wildlife making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region.

Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is an intimate camp gathered around a large sitting and dining area which affords magnificent views over the floodplains of the Okavango Delta. Each of the canvas tents at Sanctuary Stanley’s boasts a traditional ceiling fan and is individually designed, with a classic and understated elegance. Large wooden decks provide private areas for guests to relax in hammocks or enjoy cocktails before dinner in the spectacular dining mess. The elephant interaction program is also available from this camp and pre-booking advised.

Day 1: Maun - Okavango Delta

Depart Maun by light aircraft to Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp airstrip on a 15-minute flight. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp. (D)

Day 2: Okavango Delta

Full day of game activities in the Park with all meals and overnight at Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp. Game drives are not typical here, as water crossings are part of the adventure, and watching zebra standing belly-deep in water, grazing, is a sight to see! Even giraffe will cross water up to their hocks. During higher water levels, game drives will be combined with motorised boating excursions. (Night drives are seasonal, depending on water levels). (BLD)

Day 3: Okavango Delta - Maun

Early morning game activities followed by a hearty breakfast before flying back to Maun. (BL)
