The Delta is the largest inland delta system in the world and is a maze of lagoons and islands covering some 15,000 square kilometres. It is world renowned for its biodiversity and contrasts – a must see on any African safari. It is also home to an abundance of wildlife making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region.
Kwara is in a private concession enabling the game drives to operate both off road and after dark. The eight luxury safari style tents are built on raised teak decks overlooking a vast floodplain. Activities include game drives, guided walks, mokoros, boat cruises and fishing.
Depart Maun by light aircraft to Kwara Camp. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Kwara Camp. Kwara accommodates a maximum of 16 guests in eight traditionally styled tents on raised decks, each offering superb views of the lagoon. Towering African ebony and mangosteen trees ensure that the camp is always cool while the hundreds of birds add to the feeling of serenity in one of the Okavango's best kept secrets. (D)
Full day of game activities in the Park with all meals and overnight at Kwara Camp. Kwara offers a wide variety of activities. In addition to game drives, both day and night, the camp offers game walks and mokoro trips, as well as power boating and fishing (spinning equipment is provided but fly fisherman need to bring their own equipment).
