Duba Plains Camp lies in one of the most remote reaches of the Okavango Delta in an area renowned for the endless conflict between prides of lions and the herds of buffalo, which sustain them. The camp is built on a large island shaded by trees and surrounded by expansive plains which are seasonally flooded. The real treat here is its exclusivity and is particularly suited to those who want to be in a truly remote reserve.

Accommodation is made up of six roomy tents with an ensuite bathroom, outside shower, and a veranda overlooking the floodplain. The thatch-roofed lounge, dining room and bar areas are raised on platforms along with a swimming pool, all providing beautiful views.

A variety of activities include day and night game safaris in open 4x4 vehicles accompanied by highly skilled rangers, leisurely nature walks, mokoros and boat trips.

Duba Plains is home to three prides of lions and just over a thousand buffalo. The interactions that occur each day are intense and the lions have a long and lethal relationship with the buffalo. These lion prides compete for their prey but far from being a one sided relationship, it has become a battle between them with lions often being chased. The intensity and rawness of this almost exclusively daytime hunting is unique.
