Enjoy the opportunity to see the local Nubian characters and bargain for traditional wares, and appreciate a way of life that seems untouched by the modern world.  With only eight deluxe cabins on board, experience the tranquillity of the dahabiya journey.

Day 1: Cairo

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Mena House Oberoi Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

Today enjoy a privately guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the ancient capital Memphis and burial ground of Sakkara. After lunch at a traditional restaurant visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Overnight: Mena House Oberoi. (BL)

Day 3: Cairo to Luxor

Transfer to the airport for flight to Luxor, and on arrival transfer to the River Nile for your 7-night cruise to Aswan. After lunch visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Oernight on the Rihana Dahabiya. (BLD)

Day 4: Valley of the Kings & Queens

This morning visit the Necropolis of Thebes on the West Bank to explore the burial grounds in the Valley of the Kings and a visit to Queen Hapshepsut’s temple. Lunch is taken back on board with an afternoon at leisure. Overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 5: Edfu & El Ramady Island

Enjoy breakfast while crossing the Esna Lock and sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the largest and best Greek-built preserved site. Sail to El Ramady and enjoy dinner on the island. Overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 6: Aswan

Sail to Aswan with all meals and overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 7: Aswan

This morning visit the Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple. After lunch experience the local markets and some shopping. Overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 8: Kom Ombo

Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. Sail to Al Mansouriya village. Overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 9: Luxor

Sail to Luxor once again via the Esna Lock. Overnight on board. (BLD)

Day 10: Luxor to Cairo

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Luxor Airport for flight to Cairo, where on arrival you will be met by your guide for a privately escorted sightseeing trip of Old Cairo which includes the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Mohamed Ali, followed by some shopping time at the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at the Fairmont Towers Heliopolis. (BL)

Day 11: Cairo

Transfer to the airport for departing flight and end of arrangements. (B)
