This unique scheduled safari operates weekly between the prime months of July and October, and with four-nights in the Mara itself, offers the opportunity to witness some of these world-renowned and documented sights.

Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive in to Nairobi where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight at Sarova Panafric.

Day 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast with your driver/guide depart Nairobi and drive into the homelands of the Masai. The world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, located on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania, constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. On arrival at the Sarova Mara Game Camp, your home for the next four-nights, you will have lunch and the opportunity to observe the unique animal world of this region. (BLD)

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today spend the day on game drives taking you through the vast plains of the Mara searching for the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard) with lunch taken back in camp. (BLD)

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch for a full day to enjoy the spectacular reserve. Depending on where the migration is you may witness the wildebeest and zebra herds cross the river, battling with crocodiles lying in wait, or lions and other predators that the herds attract at this time of year. To be lucky enough to see the migration crossing a river is the ultimate game watching experience. Return to camp for dinner. (BLD)

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today is another day of game viewing, and as the wildlife is unpredictable you could be watching the river crossing or taking a game drive. Whatever you do, the Masai Mara is always spectacular. (BLD)

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its flocks of pink flamingos and abundance of pelicans. The Park also boasts over 30 rhinos as well as a large population of shy leopards. Lunch is taken at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, ideally located inside the National Park, followed by an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight back at the lodge. (BLD)

Day 7: Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, take a game drive in the National Park, often described as “the world’s greatest birdlife spectacle”. View the flamingos, pelicans and myriads of other birds as well as rhino, leopards and lions. After lunch back at the lodge, and some relaxation time, enjoy your last game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. (BLD)

Day 8: Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi and end of safari. (B)

The chain of 4,570 metre volcanoes stretching through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, affords wonderful views of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside and is the place to experience the most intimate and poignant of wildlife encounters.
