The Lodge is family owned and managed and offers guests a personal, intimate and tailored safari experience allowing one to explore the reserve and see its incredible diverse wildlife. The lodge is operated by a dedicated and passionate team of staff who will make it feel like you are being hosted in your own private African home.
The reserve is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lion, rhino, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, wild dog, elephant and much more – and getting there is easy. Accessible from Johannesburg, the drive is approximately five hours, or just 45 minutes by air. Here you will find an ideal destination for the whole family.
Madikwe Safari lodge’s owners also operate Lion Sands in the Sabi Sand, Tinga in the Kruger National Park and two little boutique Hotels in Cape Town namely the Cape Cadogan and More Quarters.

Full day of game activities as outlined below in the game reserve with all meals. Start your day with an early morning game drive. Professional rangers are able to assist you tracking African wildlife. Some of the game you could see include the Big Five (Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Buffalo). Other wildlife include Cheetah, Oryx, Wild Dog and Impala. Madikwe Safari Lodge also offers interactive bush walks, which allows you to get close to nature. Learn more about the surrounding African bush while keeping an eye out for some of the over 250 different bird species.
