From ‘Big Five’ game viewing in the world famous Kruger National Park, to cultural and historical experiences in Swaziland and Zululand, the raw beauty of the Wild Coast, spectacular scenery of the Garden Route and finally to Cape Town – “the Mother City”.

Day 1: Johannesburg

On arrival into Johannesburg make your way by shuttle bus to the Emperors Palace a short distance away. Overnight at Mondior Concorde Hotel (or similar).

Day 2: Johannesburg – Kruger National Park

Depart after early breakfast travelling across the Gauteng Highveld into the subtropical Lowveld region of Mpumalanga. The magnificent Panorama Route is best known for its cultural heritage and dramatic landscapes. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest in the world. Other highlights include the Bourke’s Luck Potholes where the rivers meet, and God’s Window, an overwhelmingly beautiful viewpoint. Overnight at Casa do Sol (or similar). (BD)

Day 3: Kruger National Park

Enjoy a day of game viewing in the Park (optional 4x4 open vehicle drives are available). Overnight at Casa do Sol (or similar). (BD)

Day 4: Kruger National Park – Swaziland

Travel into the Kingdom of Swaziland with a visit to a Glass Factory and the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary and stay in a traditional style Swazi homestead. Overnight at Mlilwane Beehives (or similar). (BD)

Day 5: Swaziland – St Lucia

This morning visit a local market and the Swazi Candle Factory and meet the local artisans, before travelling into the Kingdoms of the Zulus in Kwa Zulu Natal Province, and on to St Lucia where you will stay on the banks of the estuary. Overnight at Elephant Lake Hotel (or similar). (B)

Day 6: St Lucia – KwaZulu-Natal South Coast

Today the tour continues on to Shakaland, an authentic Zulu Village where you will have lunch and relive the excitement and mysteries of the days of Shaka – King of the Zulus, in this authentic recreation, before continuing to the dazzling Hibiscus Coast. Overnight at Mondazur Boutique Hotel (or similar). (BL)

Day 7: KwaZulu-Natal South Coast – Wild Coast

After breakfast travel to the rural areas of the Eastern Cape, a land lost in time, and undisturbed by modern life, with rolling hills, lush tropical beach forests and the Indian Ocean. Overnight at Crawfords Beach Lodge (or similar). (BD)

Day 8: Wild Coast

This morning enjoy a locally guided tour to meet the local people and discover their customs and traditions. This afternoon there is an optional Elephant Interaction opportunity (must be pre-booked). Overnight at Crawfords Beach Lodge (or similar). (BLD)

Day 9: Wild Coast – Port Elizabeth

After breakfast travel to Grahamstown, Frontier Country, a beautiful region with its pioneering history. Continue on to Port Elizabeth. Overnight at Kelway Hotel (or similar). (B)

Day 10: Port Elizabeth - Knysna

Travel along the Garden Route, one of the country’s most beautiful and scenic locations and visit Tsitsikamma Forest. Arrive into Knysna this afternoon where there are many optional activities on offer. Overnight at Graywood Hotel (or similar). (B)

Day 11: Knysna

After breakfast enjoy a cruise on the beautiful Knysna lagoon and the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Graywood Hotel (or similar). (B)

Day 12: Knysna - Oudtshoorn

This morning travel inland along the Outeniqua Pass to the Ostrich capital of the world – Oudtshoorn and visit a working ranch where you will have lunch and the “daring” may have the opportunity to ride an ostrich! Overnight at Turnberry Lodge (or similar). (BL)

Day 13: Oudtshoorn – Cape Town

Visit the Cango Caves this morning before travelling to Cape Town, via the towns of Robertson and Worcester. Overnight at Holiday Inn Express Cape Town (or similar). (B)

Day 14: Cape Town

Today is at leisure to take one of the many optional tours in Cape Town, or the opportunity to explore on your own. Overnight at Holiday Inn Express Cape Town (or similar). (B)

Day 15: Cape Town

Today is the end of the tour and you will be transferred to the airport for departing flight – or option to spend a little longer. (B)
