Egyptian Escape

A trip to Egypt would not be complete without a cruise along the River Nile. Journey along the tranquil waters between Luxor and Aswan on board a cruise boat for three nights or longer with stops enroute at the many historical temples and monuments, passing local villages and taking a glimpse at the local life which has not changed too much over time.

Day 1: Cairo

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Sonesta Heliopolis Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

Today enjoy a privately guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza. Lunch is included at a traditional restaurant. Overnight: Sonesta Heliopolis Hotel. (BL)

Day 3: Aswan & Philae Temple

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. On arrival into Aswan transfer to the Nile Cruise boat. After check in and lunch an afternoon of scheduled sightseeing is available and dinner on board. Overnight: Sonesta Nile Goddess Cruise. (BLD)

Day 4: Kom Ombo & Edfu

This morning sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-god. Sail on to Edfu with lunch on board. Visit the spectacular Temple of Horus, before sailing via the Esna Lock. Dinner on board. Overnight: Sonesta Nile Goddess Cruise. (BLD)

Day 5: Luxor

This morning visit the West Bank - Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch and dinner on board. Overnight: Sonesta Nile Goddess Cruise. (BLD)

Day 6: Luxor to Cairo

This morning disembark and transfer to Luxor Airport for flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Sonesta Heliopolis Hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 7: Cairo

Departure transfer to the airport (B)
