Day 1: Windhoek

On arrival into Windhoek you will be transferred to the Villa Verdi Hotel for safari briefing and overnight stay. With its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere, this is a city that can be visited throughout the year.

Day 2: Cheetah Conservation Fund

Depart Windhoek, arriving at the Cheetah Conservation Fund in time for lunch. The CCF is a non-profit association working for the conservation of cheetahs and their environment. Visit the education centre and join staff for the feeding time. Overnight at Frans Indongo Lodge. (BLD)

Days 3 & 4: Etosha National Park

The park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Your exclusive camp is set up on a private concession from where early morning and late afternoon game drives are taken, visiting the famous Etosha Pan and numerous waterholes. Overnight camping. (BLD)

Day 5: Etosha National Park

Tonight is spent at one of the rest camps, in the comfort of ensuite bungalows. The floodlit waterhole at the camp offers an amazing spectacle with an array of animals visiting throughout the night. Overnight bungalows. (BLD)

Days 6 & 7: Damaraland – Twyfelfontein – Himba Village

An early morning drive to Damaraland, visiting a Himba village enroute to camp to experience the traditions of this semi-nomadic tribe. Later the changing colours of the landscapes are enjoyed on a guided sunset walk. The following morning take a walk in the Twyfelfontein area to view rock engravings, the Organ Pipes, and Burnt Mountain. During the afternoon enjoy a riverside drive, hoping to encounter unique desert elephants. Overnight camping. (BLD)

Days 8 & 9: Swakopmund

Travel on to Swakopmund for a morning boat cruise. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or take one of the many optional activities on offer. Overnight Eberwein Hotel. (B)

Days 10 & 11: Namib Desert / Sossusvlei

Drive via Kuiseb River to camp on the edge of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei and walks amongst the dunes. Enroute back to camp enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. Overnight camping. (BLD)

Day 12: Windhoek

Travel back to Windhoek where tour ends at midday. (B)
