Central Kalahari Game Reserve - Tau Pan

Tau Pan, inside the world famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve, is a truly unique safari destination with the camp designed to blend and complement this unique and fragile environment. Situated on an established sand ridge overlooking Tau Pan it commands stunning views of the permanent water hole and the endless Kalahari horizon.

Tau Pan, inside the world famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve, is a truly unique safari destination with the camp designed to blend and complement this unique and fragile environment. Situated on an established sand ridge overlooking Tau Pan it commands stunning views of the permanent water hole and the endless Kalahari horizon.

Accommodation is in seven custom-built desert rooms under thatch or one family room, while the main area consists of dining room, lounge area, swimming pool and viewing deck. Game drives are taken in open 4x4 vehicles, and guided walks are offered with a San Bushman who will explain and entertain on all topics of their culture.

Tau Pan accommodates up to eighteen guests in specially designed thatched units on raised decks. The camp offers truly incredible views from the ridge of an ancient sand dune, an unusual experience in a land as flat as Botswana, and overlooks the famous Tau Pan - recognised for its stark beauty and remoteness.

Day 1: Maun – Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Depart Maun by light aircraft to Tau Pan. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to the camp. Dinner and overnight at Tau Pan. (D)

Day 2: Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Full day of game activities in the Park with all meals and overnight at Tau Pan. Activities offered at Tau Pan are game drives, day trips to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans, star gazing, bush brunches on Tau Pan, and nature walks with Bushman trackers. Tau Pan is situated inside National Parks which are sensitive ecological areas. For this reason, no off-road driving or night drives are permitted at these camps. (BLD)

Day 3: Central Kalahari Game Reserve - Maun

Early morning game activities followed by a hearty breakfast before flying back to Maun. (BL)

Chobe National Park - Ngoma Safari Lodge

A rustic five star bush property, Ngoma is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve bordering the Chobe National Park, with panoramic views overlooking the Chobe River and Caprivi Floodplain. The eight spacious, river facing suites have external living areas, bath, inside and outside showers, overhead fans, air-conditioning, and an open lounge. As the lodge is in the Chobe Forest Reserve, activities include guided walks, day and night drives and a full day activity that includes cruising on the river and drives within the National Park.
