Day 1 Cairo
On arrival at the Cairo airport you will be met and
guided through the immigration and customs formalities,
then transferred to the Le Meridien Pyramids.
Day 2 Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum
An Egyptologist guide will accompany you on a full day
program which starts with the Pyramids of Giza and the
inscrutable Sphinx. After lunch at a traditional
restaurant, visit the Egyptian Museum, which contains
the world's most spectacular collection of ancient

Day 3 Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple
After breakfast transfer to the Cairo airport for the
short flight to Luxor, where you will be met by your
tour coordinator and transferred to your hotel. An
Egyptologist guide will then take you on a tour of the
East Bank of the Nile which starts with the graceful
Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun. Then you will
visit the huge complex of Karnak Temple, built over a
period of more than a thousand years by generations of

Day 4 Valley of the Kings
This morning your Egyptologist will take you to the West
Bank of the Nile where you will have the opportunity to
explore the ancient Valley of the Kings. Here,
magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks,
richly decorated, and filled with treasures by
generations of Pharaohs. A highlight is Queen
Hatshepsut's Temple, which rises out of the desert in a
series of terraces that merge with the surrounding
limestone cliffs. On the way back you pass the huge
Colossi of Memnon. Overnight: Nile Palace Luxor. (B)
Day 5 Luxor to Cairo
Transfer to the Luxor airport for the flight back to
Cairo where you will be met and transferred to your
hotel, a short ride from the airport. Today you have the
opportunity to relax and take advantage of your hotel's
excellent facilities or explore the vibrant city of

Day 6 Memphis & Old Cairo
This morning your Egyptologist guide will take you to
visit Memphis, which was Egypt's capital city throughout
the Old Kingdom. Here you will also visit the royal
burial ground at Sakkara and the Step Pyramid, the
oldest pyramid in the world. In the afternoon explore
Old Cairo where you will visit the Citadel of Saladin,
which was built at the end of the 12th century AD. This
fortress contains the beautiful Mosque of Mohamed Ali,
modelled after the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, and offers
spectacular panoramic views of Cairo. Nearby is the
famous Sultan Hassan Mosque and the vibrant Khan El
Khalili Bazaar where the inhabitants of Cairo have
shopped over the centuries. Overnight: Le Meridien

Day 7 Cairo
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Cairo
airport for your flight home.
