Madikwe Game Reserve’s 75,000 hectares lies in the malaria-free north western province towards the Botswana border. Originally farm land, the reserve was created in 1991, when the largest trans-location of over 10,000 animals took place in their introduction to the area, a huge conservation feat at the time. Today it is considered one of the finest conservation areas in Africa, offering outstanding game viewing opportunities combined with a great selection of private lodges to suit all.

Jaci’s Safari & Tree Lodge

On the edge of a small stream in the heart of the reserve are Jaci’s Safari Lodge and Tree Lodge, members of Classic Safari Camps of Africa. The lodges offer two very unique five-star experiences, catering to both families and couples alike. An oasis of calm and serenity in the African bush, the property offers an exclusive wildlife adventure in the utmost comfort.

Impodimo Game Lodge

Impodimo Game Lodge is set along a rocky ridge commanding stunning vistas of the reserve at the source of a natural spring, which provides the lodge with elevated views and riverine serenity. The lodge offers 10 suites, carefully positioned to ensure absolute privacy. Spacious in design, each includes a fireplace, climate control air conditioner, mini bar fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and full ensuite bathroom and outside shower.

Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge

At the edge of the Marico River and under a grove of Tamboti and Marula trees, you will find Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge. Traversing over 75,000 hectares of true untamed Africa, where the plains still team with game, the lodge is set amongst magnificent boulders with eight ultra-luxurious glass fronted spacious suites, expansive decks and plunge pools.

Makanyane Safari Lodge

An exclusive safari lodge, Makanyane Safari Lodge offers just eight luxurious suites hidden in the lush riverside forest on the bank of the Marico River. Spectacular glass-walled bedrooms offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding forest and the river. In the main lodge area there is a lounge, dining room, library, den, curio shop, swimming pool, boma, wine cellar, sleep out Hide, gym and spa.

Madikwe Safari Lodge

Nestled between rolling hills, overlooking the rich, game- filled plains of the reserve is the strikingly organic Madikwe Safari Lodge. The lodge is home to three intimate camps, totalling just 20 luxury suites, each boasting a comfortable sitting area, fireplace, spacious dressing area, ensuite bathroom and French doors that open out onto a veranda with private plunge pool. Outdoor bomas provide for dinners under the stars and adventures include day and night game drives and bush sundowners.
