Your journey begins at Africa’s Southern
gateway. Gaze at the spectacle that greeted the
early explorers, as Table Mountain appears to rise
from the sea. A stunning setting for a very special
city.
Explore the ghostly deserts of Namibia, nothing but
endless horizons and vast expanses of night stars.
Go where giant sand dunes merge with the Atlantic
Ocean.
Go on safari in Etosha, "Great White Place", where the fireside tales will be of lion, rhino,
elephant and much more.
DAY 1 - CAPE TOWN
Depart on a full day peninsula tour via Hout Bay,
Chapman’s Peak and Cape Point Nature Reserve. A morning
or afternoon cable car ride up Table Mountain is
included (weather dependent). Overnight at Breakwater
Lodge (or similar).
DAY 2 - CALVINIA (HANTAM
REGION)
Depart for the historic town of Calvinia nestled at the
foot of the Hantam Mountain range. Overnight Hantam Huis
(or similar) (B)
DAY 3 - AUGRABIES FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Drive north to the Augrabies Falls National Park and the
Orange River. Spend the afternoon viewing the falls.
Overnight Augrabies Falls Restcamp chalets (or similar).

DAY 4/5 - KGALAGADI TRANFRONTIER PARK
Head north into the Kalahari and the Kgalagadi
Transfrontier Park. Overnight Kgalagadi Restcamp chalets
(or similar). (B)
DAY 6 - FISH RIVER CANYON
Today travel into Namibia to visit the Fish River
Canyon. Overnight Canyon Village (or similar). (B)
DAY 7/ 8 - SESRIEM
Continue to the Namib Desert. Enjoy a sunset walk in the
dunes and an excursion into Sossusvlei. Overnight
Weltevrede Guest Farm (or similar). (B)
DAY 9/10 - SWAKOPMUND
Today travel to Swakopmund via Walvis Bay. Accommodation
Dunedin Star Guest House (or similar). (B)
DAY 11 - DAMARALAND / TWYFELFONTEIN
Drive inland through the Damaraland region with its vast
and rugged terrain. Visit the Twyfelfontein area for the
Bushmen paintings. Overnight Igowati Lodge (or similar).

DAY 12 - HIMBA VISIT / ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Visit the Himba tribe, a semi-nomadic tribe, living in
scattered settlements throughout the region. Continue on
to Etosha National Park for your first game drive.

DAY 13 - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives in
the Park. Overnight Etosha Restcamp Chalets (or
similar). (B)
DAY 14/ 15 - OKAVANGO RIVER
Enter the Caprivi Strip and camp overlooking the
Okavango River. Enjoy a mokoro excursion among the
prolific bird and animal life of the area. Overnight
Ngepi Camp (or similar). (B)
DAY 16/ 17 - LIVINGSTONE/ VICTORIA FALLS
Travel across the border to Victoria Falls. Overnight
Bushfront chalets (or similar). (B)
DAY 18 - CHOBE RIVER
Travel across the border to Chobe National Park.
Overnight Chobe Safari Lodge (or similar). (B)
DAY 19 - NATA (MAKGADIKGADI PANS)
Depart for Nata and the Makgadikgadi Pans (weather
permitting). Overnight Nata Lodge (or similar). (B)
DAY 20 - LIMPOPO AREA
Travel across the border into South Africa. Overnight
chalets or guest house. (or similar). (B)
DAY 21 - JOHANNESBURG
Travel via the ‘Jacaranda City’ of Pretoria, ending the
tour in Johannesburg late afternoon. (B)
