Walking In the Footsteps of the Masai
8 DAYS/7 NIGHTS
Experience the fascinating world of Africa's culture and wildlife with this safari offering an insight into the local Masai people. Your two night stop in Satao Elerai in Amboseli will give you the opportunity to see and experience a property which is genuinely involved in working with the Masai community for the long term benefit of the Masai and the wildlife in the Amboseli eco system. The lodge provides a sustainable income from tourism for the Masai community and tries to ensure that it is in the community's interest to protect the wildlife for generations to come. Amboseli has been a location where human-wildlife conflict has been an issue for many years, and it is projects like these that can over time ensure that communities start to benefit from wildlife tourism and to ensure they invest in protecting and securing their future for their own benefit. The safari also visits Tsavo West National Park where you will experience the highlights of Mzima Springs and Shetani Lava flow both remnants of the eruption of Kilimanjaro, and Tsavo East National Park where Elephants can be seen in huge numbers at close quarters.
