The Kalahari Migration Safari

Experience the migration during the months of January - May and November - December on this Kalahari Migration Safari. Explore the semi desert of the central Kalahari and Makgadikgadi National Park on a mobile camping safari in secluded bush camps with the final night in the comfort of a lodge.

DAY 1 - MAUN - NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK

Transfer from Maun by road to Nxai Pan with a picnic lunch enroute. After a sunset game drive and dinner, enjoy the sounds of the African night. (LD)

DAY 2 - NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK

Take a game drive in search of the desert fauna and flora characteristic of this area, with a visit to the magnificent Baines Baobab trees, immortalised by the explorer Baines' painting and situated on the edge of a saltpan. (BLD)

DAY 3/4 - MAKGADIKGADI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, the camp is moved to the Makgadikgadi National Park where the game drives seek out the migrating herds of zebra, wildebeest and elephant. (BLD)

DAY 5/6/7/8 - CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE

An early morning game drive leads to the unique and special Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Here the majestic Black-mane Kalahari Lions and a host of other predators can be encountered. Relax and unwind on your last night here in the comfort of a lodge, together with a night drive to explore the magic of the areas nocturnal creatures. (BLD)

DAY 9 - MAUN

A final game drive before taking a light aircraft back to Maun airport where the safari ends. (B)
