About us
We are a Sydney based company incorporated in 1969 to design and market African Safari Holidays.
Now operating for over 40 years in business we have successfully operated a range of tours throughout Southern Africa - South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, together with Egypt, Jordan and Oman. We have an endless array of options to fit into your time frame and your budget and particular interests. It is up to you!
Our new Africa brochure for 2010 along with our Egypt brochure will give some idea of the most popular choices and our expert staff will be able to fill in the gaps and give you some friendly tips that can only be sourced from one who has "been there and done it" - and in the case of our staff - many times. It is our first hand knowledge that makes us different from the rest and also our pride in knowing it all began with us.
Charles Bench was the founder of the company and his exposure to the magical product "Africa" came during a spell in London with South African Airways. By the time he had arrived in Australia to set up his business he had already paddled through Botswana's Okavango Delta - a pretty rare thing to do in those days, and canoed the Zambezi and driven all around South Africa inspecting hotels and tourism attractions.
He put together his first Safari Holiday Brochure in 1969 together with the associated marketing campaign. Whilst not immediately a success it became the foundation stone on which many subsequent programmes were based and was at the forefront of African travel for the Australian traveller.
